Once again, the dinner menu at this restaurant rotates each evening like most cruise lines offering a wide array of starters, entrees, and desserts. From regaling tales of the fun and activities onboard the cruise ship, to the various places they visited in the Caribbean, a fun cruise certainly fills people with plenty of good memories.

Roger is the Carnival pianist who was keeping the crowd entertained all night. I was surprised by the quality of food served at the Carnival Deli. It was much better than I anticipated - and way better than the deli we had on campus back in college. Service was a little slow and the line was long, which indicates that it’s a favorite among everyone. I tried the Dirty Mojito, which had spiced rum and brown sugar. My sister had the Red Rum’s Treasure, which was the most popular drink at the bar according to the bartenders.

We ended up with a cheese slice and a garlic cheese slice, which was fine. Since it was so expensive for one drink ($17 after tip) and I didn’t have a drink package, I didn’t make another trip back to the bar. I only wish the menu was easier to understand for making quicker, better informed decisions with fewer acronyms. I also went to BlueIguana on the last morning of our cruise to have a breakfast burrito because I had heard multiple people talking about how good they were. I filled mine with ham, egg, cheese, skillet hash browns, onions and sour cream in a warm tortilla. I especially appreciated how quickly my burrito was served, as the buffet nearby had a huge line. On a recent cruise aboard Carnival Ecstasy, I was surprised to see most of Carnival’s signature venues available.
Trying to get to the Destiny Restaurant was a challenge in itself because the galley is situated between the two main dining rooms, thus blocking the flow of traffic. The restaurant has a center stairwell that leads to the Rotterdam Martini Bar, so cruisers can grab a drink before -- or after -- dinner before descending to the Destiny Restaurant. Both dining rooms are only one floor, so you don't have that elegant, grand feeling with high ceilings as you sometimes find on other ships. In total, there are 9 free restaurants and 5 for-fee options on Carnival Magic. Restaurant menus range from Mongolian to pizza and steakhouse and pub favorites.
The great thing about a cruise is that most things are inclusive and that covers most of your dining experiences. So leave your wallet behind and check out what is included in the price of your family cruise.
